My babes!

I’m a Mum to four. I love it. It is unreal to watch these little people growing before me. I can already see traces of the adults they will one day be. It is the best, but also scariest thing, to think that I (crazy old me) is in charge of raising these children to be strong confident adults.

My Cayla Jo. My first born. She threw me into Motherhood at a time in my life when I’m not so sure I was ready for it. I can not ever be grateful enough for her. She is compassionate. She wants to feed all the starving children, save all the rainforrests, and rescue all the animals. She loves from the bottom of her soul.

Landen James. My dude. When I found out I was pregnant with a boy, I initially cried. I didn’t want a BOY. I wanted another girl. Girls are fun, well so are boys! Boys are the ones who run, not walk. They yell, not talk. They throw, not place. They JUMP! He likes airplanes & trucks and when he grows up he’s “going to be a digger”. Yes you read that correctly, and by digger he means a bobcat….. but the super huge ones! But above all of that, he loves his Mummy. He is the first one to sit and snuggle with me in the mornings, the last one to ask for a hug at bedtime.

Kaitlyn Jayde. I don’t even know where to begin. I have the highest highs with Kaity, but she is also the one who gives me the most grief. No one is more important to Kaity, than Kaity. and I LOVE that! She is the sweetest little cherub, but the naughtiest little grommet! She is quick to anger, but just as quickly snaps right back out of it. There is no faking it with her. If she loves you, there is no doubting it. However, if she is cross with you…. well lets just say it ‘aint pretty!

Declan Jack. My precious baby boy. When he laughs, it’s like the clouds part, and rays of sun shine down upon us. It is the best sound in the world. My little man is on the precious side. But when I think of the things he has gone through I’m not surprised. Each day brings a new discovery, or a new milestone. Sometimes I just sit and watch. He is just perfect.

So as you can see. I just adore them. Now don’t get me wrong. it’s not an easy, lovefest all of the time. Actually the majority of the time it is on the crazy side. But I’d never ever choose anything different!

Fantastic Four!

I recently had the pleasure of catching up with Kelly and her gorgeous little tribe. Some of you may recognise little “Teddy” as I was lucky enough to do his newborn photos.

Here he was 1 year ago – Just reeking of newborn freshness. *sigh*

Here is Master J. Older brother extraordinaire! And little Teddy all grown up, a big 1 year old! – The cocoon that he was wearing in his newborn photo, is the same that’s on the teddy!

Next up are the gorgeous sisters!

Aren’t they just a gorgeous bunch?

I had so much fun with these guys! Thanks Kelly for a fab day!

I love Pt Lincoln!

I do! I really do! 5 years ago my parents devastated me by informing me they were moving.Moving from good old RADelaide to Port Lincoln. My little Cayla was only 1 at the time. I thought my world had come crumbling down. What was I going to do without my Mum nearby? “I’t s only an 8 hour drive away” they said. 8 HOURS! That’s flippen forever!!! I was determined right there and then that I would hate port lincoln. Not the people in it, just the town itself. After all it was calling my parents away.

Okay, so that didn’t really last! First trip and I was in love! It’s such a beautiful place, and the locals are just wonderful. We try to go up and visit a couple of times throughout the year, but without a doubt it is a family tradition to head up every year for the Labour day long weekend. The local show is held on the Monday. It’s called The Yallunda Flat show. My Dad is the president and proud as punch about it! I just tried googling it to try and link you all, but, yeah, nothing. Sadly technology is not my Pop’s strong point and I doubt he’d even know how to organise his email, let alone a web page! I digress, this year was as awesome as always!

I just thought I’d share some snaps from our time away!

This little buzzy bee + flower won me 3rd place in the nature category!

Okay, so apparently the locals all know about this tree and it’s actually a “feature”! Like a friend said to me, I’d also love a shoe tree, you more of the Manolo Blahnik type, not the “used crusty so 1990′s” type!

This final one is for my Pop. As kids, we always knew Dad’s top drawer was the place to go for lollies. Well that has not changed, the one thing that has, is the SELECTION! His drawer is like a candy store!

Till next time!
