I am so very excited to tell you all about one of Adelaides newest (& hottest) Wedding venues!
UTOPIA @ Waterfall Gully has recently been taken over by mulit-award winning chef Justin Markos & beautiful wife Kelly. It has been refurbished, revamped and given a whole new lease on life.

At Utopia, we specialise in creating customised, personalised weddings, functions and dinners – ensuring each special event is a true reflection of our guests’ preferences and personalities. Whether it’s an intimate dinner for 20, a formal wedding for 70 or a spectacular cocktail party for 170, we can create the perfect package to help you host the event of your dreams.

Kelly approached me a few months ago about being the preferred photographer for the venue. After looking at what they had to offer, I couldn’t agree fast enough.

We decided that a promo shoot was in order
a) to celebrate how wonderful everything now looks and
b) to help spread the word about such an amazing venue.

The team at Utopia have also teamed up with the very talented Kellie & Maxine of Set Your Scene. All of these gorgeous decorations courtesy of Set Your Scene, and give you just an idea of the selection that is avaliable for your big day!

I had to show off these gorgeous oversize martini glasses! They are just divine!

Some of the fabulous cakes on offer by the wonderful cake maker Mel @ Utopia (and yes! They do taste as good as they look!) You have to LOVE the waterfall cake….. at Waterfall gully! AWESOME!

I just have to add, that they also do so much more than weddings. If you’re in the area pop in for a meal, or even just a coffee & cake. You wont be disappointed!

I know! I know! Long time no post! Naughty me! But once again I have an airtight excuse! Remember a couple of months ago when I had a sick little guy? Well he actually hasn’t ever fully recovered! For a while we thought he was getting better, but just as quickly he seemed to crash, and we were back on the ward at Flinders!

We are very familiar with the staff on the paediatric ward at now! No really, I know what TV shows they watch each night! Thankfully they are amazing people! We have been so blessed to be under the care of such wonderful caring doctors, as well as some of the most beautiful people you will ever meet, who go by the name of nurses!

Just recently we were transferred over to the WCH. I haven’t had time to get to know the staff as much, but i am sure they are equally fabulous!

There are times in life when we meet people who just blow us away. Things happen in peoples lives, and unfortunately they’re not always for the best. But it’s how people cope when these things do happen that show true strength of character. While at the WCH I met the most amazing woman. She has not had an easy run in life, far from it in fact. But the strength that radiated from this lady was just amazing. I can honestly say that my life is better from meeting her. I hope you are reading this and realise what an outstanding woman you are.  Thank you for being your wonderful self and the most incredible mother a child could be blessed with!

Now as a blog post is not a post without a few photos, I’ll share some of my spunky little monkey that i did for his 6 month milestone!

I met this gorgeous family over the weekend!  Mum always has the camera out herself, so the boys were no strangers to the camera! Master Owen at 4yrs old was just the best! He was running and jumping and climbing and hiding! Amidst all of that he always had time to stop and pose for me! Then it was back home to meet the gorgeous little Ryan! They are such a beautiful family! And finally Mum & Dad! (Don’t you wished you looked this good while looking after 2 little dudes? I know I do!!!) Joel & Kerrie thank you so much for having me in your home. You guys are beautiful as are your two little boys! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and i will have the details of your gallery ready soon!
